WE live in changed times, but needing some normality, our annual Think Tank will be again held by the Yarra River, Warburton. Open to a limited number of participants, we'll be examining the theme "Building a New Boat and Finding New Horizons". We'll be exploring the metaphorical and looking at how we change organisations to be fit for the future and finding new business opportunities. The new employment paradigm is simply one of change and we'll be looking at some great examples of change and how they've pursued different paths to the future. We'll also explore working with the big end of town and the opportunities and challenges that exist in that market. In light of the recent and ongoing challenges posed by COVID19, we'll have a look at how organisations handled this and it's impact on operational systems going forward. The 2019 event was an outstanding success with this year's event building on those successes to generate new directions and innovative solutions. A relaxed open vibe supported by working in the open by the river fosters inclusive innovative rich discussion.
What do you need to know right now?
Date: Tuesday 27th October - 29th October inclusive (we meet on the Monday night, 26th October for an informal dinner, before getting busy on Tuesday morning).
Venue: Oscars on the Yarra, Warburton, VIC.

Accomodation: Maximum room capacity of 22 rooms on site, plus we have eight overflow rooms nearby with a group shuttle arranged. This year we will reach our maximum capacity of 30 participants with preference to previous attendees before opening up to new people. Any extra bookings will go on a wait list.

Meals: At your cost and included in your accommodation pricing (we've arranged a great meal package and the food is very, very good). We cover the cost of a BBQ lunch on the last day, as thank you for your contribution to the discussions.

What to bring: a comfortable outdoor chair if you wish, an open mind, a hat and a willingness to share and discuss ideas.

Cost: $700.

Once you've registered for the Retreat, you will need to separately book and pay for your room and meals package. What we can't tell you right now is the accommodation package costs due to venues being closed. I've been assured by the good folks at Oscar's that as soon as they can re-open they'll work out this year's package costs. Please be patient on that score. This link will be supplied once we have received notification of your registration. All rooms are allocated on a first come basis, with rooms set aside for people with disabilities on site. Early bird registration for rooms expires on June 30th, after which date the room link will change.

Activities: It's not all work and no play. Last year we headed off to the The Yarra Valley Dairy, Four Pillars Distillery and the Yarra Valley Chocolatier and then dinner at the Innocent Bystander Cellars. To make things simpler, we've included the cost of the Innocent Bystander dinner in the Retreat registration (drinks are on you of course).
